RenuCore technology is a proprietary, innovative recycling process that transforms asphalt shingles into a high-performance asphalt modifier for use in hot mix asphalt (HMA) production. Through a licensing model, producers manufacture RenuCore pellets within their own operations—unlocking new revenue opportunities while ensuring a consistent and reliable supply chain.
CertainTeed does not sell RenuCore pellets. Instead, Licensed HMA producers or construction and demolition (C&D) recyclers can license the RenuCore technology to manufacture RenuCore pellets. HMA producers integrate the pellets directly into their asphalt mixes, while C&D recyclers produce and sell the pellets to HMA producers for use in HMA production.
