He built two homes for himself – one in 1999 and another in 2002 – yet he felt something was “missing” while working in a corporate setting. Spencer started Turnkey Restoration in 2006, where he could fill the void that was missing – his passion for helping others. He began buying, selling, and flipping homes, then found his true calling – helping others in their most stressful time – when they needed to restore their homes after catastrophic storm damage from wind, hail, lightning, or driving rain. It was the ultimate in matchmaking for two of Spencer’s loves: the construction industry and helping others in a time of need. With 25 years of experience working in different construction trades, he was recently joined by his wife, Melanie, to expand their general contracting family business. With her history of working for multiple builders, she brings her interior and exterior building design and decorating expertise to Turnkey Restoration.
