How to Build Your Submittal

It's easier than ever to create, populate, and share your comprehensive submittals. Here's how!

Not Sure What Product You Need?

  1. Use the Competitor Comparison Tool: In the main menu under 'Products', Interior Products' and 'Ceiling & Wall Systems', you'll find the 'Competitor Comparison' tool. This tool can help you find the right products quickly and the documents you need to get started on your next submittal. 

    TIP: You can build your submittal right from the comparison tool results page. Simply click the 'view documents' button and find the documents you need to get your submittal started. 

Product Page or Product Listing Page

  1. Looking for Products: Visit any interior product page or listing page of products to find quick access to all your 'Key Documents'.
  2. View Documents by Category: Broken into five document types, quickly find the documents you need.
  3. Click the 'Doc Plus' Icon: Add to your 'My Documents' list which you will see appear at the bottom of your page once you start adding documents. 
  4. Review and Build: Easily review the list of documents collected by using the 'My Documents' tab, and easily begin the submittal process by clicking the 'Build a Submittal' button.

Documents

  1. Access Documents: From any page on Certainteed.com, select 'Documents' from the main menu.
  2. Search by Product Category: Search documents by product category or simply select 'See All Documents' to search by product.
  3. Use 'Submittal Central': If you are a returning customer, use 'Submittal Central', located right below the blue 'Search Document by Product' box, to access saved submittals and edit or duplicate for quick submittal creation.
  4. Select & Add Documents: From the Documents list, search by product and use the 'Document Type' selector to narrow your list by brochures, technical specifications, installation guides, sustainability, and warranties. Review what you need and click on the 'Doc Plus' icon to add documents to your list. 

For Professionals

  1. Navigate to 'For Professionals': From any page on CertainTeed.com, select 'For Professionals' from the main menu. 
  2. Select 'For Contractors': Choose 'For Contractors' from the menu.
  3. Start a New Project: In the right-hand column, click on 'Build a Submittal' to start a new project. Alternatively, select 'Submittal Central' to review, edit, and reuse previous submittals.
  4. Manage Your Documents: Click on the 'My Documents' tab to review, download, and build your submittal. 
New Features:
  • Add a Cover Sheet: For a polished presentation, you can now add a cover sheet to your submittal. Generate one from our template or upload a PDF of your own cover page with your company's logo. 
  • Download Submittal Zip File: Automatically compress info for easier electronic distribution. 
  • Enhanced Email Functionality: Send submittals to yourself and others, such as your team, an architect, or a general contractor. 
  • Secure Saved Submittals: Login using OKTA Single Sign-on for quick access to your previous submittals.
