New York, NY – Artexture+, Inc., a leading independent manufacturer representative firm, recently collaborated with CertainTeed to transform their New York showroom with the innovative Decoustics Impressions fiberglass ceiling system. This project displayed the versatility and performance of Impressions, an innovative fiberglass acoustical solution that uses high-resolution printing technology to create realistic wood-look finishes.

OBJECTIVES

Enhance acoustics to reduce noise levels and improve occupant comfort.
Update the showroom with a modern, wood-look ceiling.
Highlight the product’s design flexibility with two finish options: Mix pattern and Pine.

SCOPE OF WORK

The project scope included detailed planning, material selection, removal of an existing ceiling system, and installation of the Impressions panels. CertainTeed worked closely with Artexture to create custom blueprints, ensuring a perfect fit for the showroom’s unique layout.

MATERIALS SELECTION

Decoustics Impressions panels were chosen for their acoustical performance and design versatility. The Pine finish offered a classic, warm aesthetic, while the Mix pattern option featured a blend of eight realistic wood finishes: Cherry, Anigre, Mahogany, Walnut, Maple, Pine, Red Oak, and White Oak.

The existing Decoustics Ceilencio suspension system was retained, providing easy access to the plenum and a sturdy foundation for the new ceiling.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

The installation was completed efficiently within five hours, with minimal disruption to Artexture’s operations. The prior ceiling system was carefully removed, and the new Impressions panels were installed into the Ceilencio suspension system, ensuring uniform alignment and a polished finish.
