My Green Kentucky Home

The “My Green Kentucky Home” project is a 21st century home designed and built to be one of the state’s healthiest, energy-efficient, water-efficient, durable homes that addresses today's homeowners’ needs with the future in mind.  The internationally-recognized U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) for Homes program was followed and third-party verified and tested to achieve the highest certification level of Platinum.  This home meets the American Institute of Architects Vision 2020 and 2030 Challenge goals by years 2020 and 2030 to be Net-Zero Energy use.  The home was also designed and built for Net-Zero Water use and Net-Zero Waste.
