CertainTeed’s Rapid Deco® Level 5 System: start with a canvas that’s an art form in itself
When critical lighting and specialized wall treatments are in the design, here are ideal options to bring to life.
HIGHER LEVEL FINISH
Decorative wall and ceiling treatments add life and atmosphere to a space, but they can also reveal the unsightly effects of a lower level finish.
CertainTeed’s Rapid Deco® Level 5 System – the first of its kind in North America – achieves a smooth, monolithic finish that stands up to even the most critical applications. Our skim-coated drywall and complementary joint compound work together for a seamless, smooth finish – helping you realize the intended design with ease and efficiency.
WHAT IS LEVEL 5?
In a nutshell, it’s the finish that saves you time and effort.
Lighting and wall treatments (particularly metallic and writable areas) look their best when surfaces are as uniform and consistent as possible. The final Level 5 skim-coat phase minimizes the possibility of unsightly joints, fastener fills, and inconsistencies that might otherwise show through. The Level 5 finish provides what a Level 4 finish cannot: a truly uniform surface, both in terms of texture and absorption. Rapid Deco eliminates the need to apply the final skim coat onsite.
THE SAVINGS ADVANTAGE
The Rapid Deco Level 5 System installs with the same ease as a Level 4 finish. But because the system’s skim-coated drywall and complementary joint compound produce consistently smooth walls and ceilings, you’ll finish in a fraction of the time standard Level 5 methods require. Rapid Deco’s skim coat is factory-applied. This speeds up installation and creates a more consistent finish than could ever be achieved onsite. And that saves you time, labor, and money.
WITH RAPID DECO, LESS IS MORE
Complete any Level 4 finish and guess what? You’re going to need more resources—and time—to achieve a Level 5 finish. Here’s how Rapid Deco adds significant savings to jobs that specify a ‘standard’ Level 5 finish.
