Fiberglass Metal Building Insulation can provide thermal and acoustical insulation for the roofs and sidewalls of pre-engineered metal buildings and post frame construction. Our Metal Building Insulation is composed of inorganic glass fibers bonded with a thermoset resin, formed as a flexible, uniformly textured tan blanket insulation and furnished in rolls. Once laminated on one side with suitable vapor retarder, Metal Building Insulation reduces transmission of exterior sound to the interior of the building and absorbs reverberating sounds within the building.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Improves the energy efficiency of the building
- Reduces transmission of exterior sound to the interior of the building
- Absorbs reverberating sounds within the building
- Provides thermal efficiency, helping to keep heat inside the building in the winter and outside in summer
For the US market, our products comply with the NAIMA 202-96® (Rev. 2000) Standard For Flexible Fiberglass Insulation to be Laminated for use in Metal Buildings.

The vapor retarder on Metal Building Insulation 202-96 should be installed towards the conditioned spaces in the building. The insulation is normally applied over or between the structural members of the building and held in place by the covering sheets or insulation support system. When using high R-value systems, it is recommended that the cavity between the exterior metal sheet and the faced fiber glass insulation should be completely filled.
CertainTeed insulation products improve building energy efficiency and reduce building energy consumption for the life of the structure. As a result, they help conserve nonrenewable energy sources, decrease dependence on foreign oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the recycled content of CertainTeed fiberglass insulation meets the EPA minimum Recovered Material Guideline for fiber glass products consisting of preconsumer and post-consumer glass cullet. CertainTeed's Metal Building Insulation is GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage.
