Jill Betters, Director of Strategy and Business Development
Jill Betters leads the company's strategy and sustainability initiatives, focusing on circular economy solutions and operational decarbonization in the United States. Since joining CertainTeed in 2012, Jill has held various marketing and strategy roles, moving to the roofing division in 2021. With a background in sales and extensive experience across the building materials lifecycle, she is a strategic problem solver known for her technical expertise and commitment to environmental stewardship. Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Villanova University and lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and daughter.
Maure Creger, Circular Economy Manager
Maure Creager is a recognized leader in sustainable building materials and circular economy solutions, with over 20 years of experience in engineering, product stewardship, strategy, and business development. A registered LEED AP BD+C professional, she leverages her technical expertise and strategic vision to drive innovations in recycling asphalt shingles and paving materials. Her passion for sustainability, rooted in her South Dakota upbringing, extends beyond her career to her personal life, where she enjoys outdoor adventures and supporting her daughters' activities.
KC Northup, Scale Up Engineer
KC Northup plays a key role in scaling up RenuCore's advanced recycling process for asphalt shingles, ensuring quality and success for new licensees. Her 15+ years in industrial manufacturing spanning process engineering, management, maintenance, and sales, equip her with the expertise to address challenges faced by asphalt producers, recyclers, and agencies.
Driven by the credo "integrity comes first," KC defied stereotypes to build a thriving engineering career. Outside work, she enjoys ultra running, scuba diving, and guiding Special Olympics triathletes.
Avni Patel, Circular Economy Specialist
Anvi Patel combines her passion for sustainability with her professional expertise to advance circular economy efforts in the asphalt industry. She focuses on reducing the need for virgin materials and keeping asphalt shingles out of landfills by supporting RenuCore licensees with diligence work, financial modeling, and business development. Inspired by her parents' commitment to reuse and composting, Avni has made "reduce, reuse, and recycle" a way of life. Outside of work, she enjoys sewing, thrift shopping, hiking, and transforming old clothes into new creations for friends and family.
Bill Dempsey, Consultant to CertainTeed
Bill Dempsey has dedicated 45 years to the paving industry, beginning his journey on a paving crew. Over the years, he has held roles in quality control, business management and as a Production Manager, where he oversaw asphalt plants and shingle recycling operations. Frustrated by the limitations of pavements using recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) Bill co-invented Asphaltica - now RenuCore by CertainTeed - to create sustainable paving solutions that maintain pavement quality. A licensed civil engineer and former President of the Washington Asphalt Paving Association, Bill thrives on hands-on work and collaborates with CertainTeed to advance green initiatives nationwide. Outside of his career, he enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife and finds inspiration in creative problem-solving, both in construction and in life.
