Why a FORTIFIED Roof™?
It doesn't take extreme weather to experience damage. Even moderate winds or storms can introduce unwanted water into your home.
A FORTIFIED Roof safeguards against these and more intense threats by ensuring contractors use materials that meet FORTIFIED™ standards and follow proper installation procedures in line with the FORTIFIED system.
Different homes have different needs. FORTIFIED, a program of the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, is a better way to build, re-roof, or retrofit your home. It's a system that works in unison to strengthen your roof and protect your home.

Can a FORTIFIED Roof™ Save you Money?
FORTIFIED homes meet a standard that is scientifically proven to be more resilient than homes built to ordinary building codes. This can translate to financial benefits for homeowners in more than a dozen states.
Incentives like insurance discounts, grants, and tax credits are available to FORTIFIED homes in Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Please contact your insurance agent for specific details.
Even though FORTIFIED is not specifically named, upgrades included in the standard may make homeowners eligible for incentives in Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Texas.
