CertainTeed Corporation Introduces 16 New Colors to Popular Siding Product Lines, Reinforcing Status as Industry Color Leader

(Valley Forge, Pa.) – CertainTeed Corporation has introduced 16 new colors across its popular WeatherBoards™ fiber cement, polymer and vinyl siding product lines, reinforcing the company’s status as the industry color leader. The new color palette is shared across many different siding styles and accessories, allowing building professionals unparalleled Freedom of Choice™ and design flexibility, along with durable, long-lasting cladding performance.

“This year our team went over and above like never before, researching the latest trends in color and incorporating them across our extensive product offerings – allowing effortless mixing and matching for virtually endless design possibilities,” says Xavier LeBlanc, director of product marketing for CertainTeed Siding.

The most widely used new color Autumn Red, previously available for WeatherBoards fiber cement siding, is now also available for CedarBoards™ insulated vinyl siding, Cedar Impressions® polymer shake, Universal™ Soffit, IronMax®, Northwoods® and Monogram® 46 vinyl siding and Vinyl Carpentry®. Other rich new colors include Forest, Charcoal Gray, Green Tea and Bermuda Blue for Cedar Impressions® polymer shake, Monogram® 46 vinyl siding and Vinyl Carpentry® product lines. In addition, Monogram® 46 and Vinyl Carpentry both feature the color Linen.

WeatherBoards fiber cement siding also includes the color Forest, along with new hues Taupe, Light Maple, Marigold, Suede, Sable Brown, Cypress, Flagstone, Pacific Blue, Granite Gray and Hearthstone.

“When it comes to aesthetics, there’s a real advantage to using products from a single source that are designed to work together, enabling a unique combination of textures and styles,” added LeBlanc. “We’re excited to provide building professionals with the inventory to wow their customers and make it easy for homeowners to create a personalized exterior that fits within their budget.”

The new hues join an industry-leading spectrum of siding colors ranging from deep, rich shades, semi-transparent stained blends to popular neutrals. All vinyl siding product lines utilize the PermaColor™ System with guaranteed Lifetime Fade Protection, impact resistance and durability. WeatherBoards fiber cement siding showcases its ColorMax® Finishing System, engineered to seal against moisture, resist fading and withstand everyday abuse. Moreover, all siding products and accessories are designed to coordinate with CertainTeed roofing, trim, fence, decking and railing options for a coherent, natural look resulting in outstanding curb appeal.

As the North American leader in siding products, CertainTeed offers Freedom of Choice™ that no other manufacturer can provide, with the most comprehensive spectrum of profiles and colors of polymer shakes, fiber cement siding, insulated siding, vinyl siding and trim for finishing touches. The company actively pursues strategies to reduce environmental impact and is the first siding manufacturer to issue and publish third-party validated life cycle assessments (LCA) for its vinyl and fiber cement siding product lines. The LCA carefully examines all environmental impacts—from raw materials and manufacturing, transportation and use, to disposal and/or recycling—gaining an accurate view of true product sustainability.
