Lab, where you will learn how to detail high performance gypsum firewalls to 

meet the BCBC Step Code at the BCIT Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) Learning Centre

James’ main focus is building science research and investigation work. His work includes forensic investigations, 

building monitoring, thermal modeling, building enclosure design and graphics 

work, and field review and testing services for new construction and existing buildings.

BC Energy Step Code: Efficient & Durable Building Enclosure Solutions in Wood-Frame Multi Unit Residential Construction

Find out about the fundamentals of heat, air and moisture control, durability principles, and implications of the BC Energy Step Code on the energy efficiency of the building enclosure. Learn about practical approaches for designing efficient and durable details, including firewall interfaces, for wood-frame multi-unit residential construction.
