FlintClad™

CertainTeed FlintClad is a premium, SBS modified bitumen roofing membrane surfaced with aluminum foil facing to provide a durable, reflective finish. It is used as the finishing flashing layer, in combination with base and/or mid ply flashing plies as specified. FlintClad can also be used as a field cap sheet in multiple ply modified bitumen roof membrane assemblies.

CertainTeed FlintClad is made with a premium SBS polymer modified bitumen compound bonded to a touch, resilient fiber glass scrim reinforcement. The finished surface is a heavy duty, weathering grade embossed aluminum foil.

CertainTeed FlintClad shall be applied using the torch method of application. Do not over torch. Apply sufficient pressure to FlintClad to remove any air pockets. Cold weather applications require special handling to prevent damage to the rolls and to ensure satisfactory installation.
