FlintPatch™

CertainTeed FlintPatch Wet/Dry Rubberized Flashing Cement is a high-performance flashing cement specially formulated for the professional roofer. FlintPatch is an extremely versatile modified mastic that provides superior adhesion to wet surfaces and even adheres under water. FlintPatch is manufactured with select asphalt, solvent and fibers to provide an “E-Z Spread” durable patching compound under the harshest weather conditions. FlintPatch is the ultimate repair compound and can be used to patch splits, seams, cracks and holes in bonded gravel, mineral surfaced cap sheet and smooth surface asphalt roofs and shingle roofs. It will seal areas around chimneys, vent pipes, gravel guards, and downspouts; cracks in concretes and expansion joints on roofs. FlintPatch is also an excellent utility mastic for use below grade in foundation damp-proofing.

CertainTeed FlintPatch Wet/Dry Rubberized Flashing Cement should be worked to an even consistency over and into the area to be repaired. Apply 1/8" thick, two or three inches beyond the problem area. Too thick of an application will result in cracking. It is highly recommended to reinforce the repair with a strip of asphalt saturated fabric.
