Optimum Wall System

DESCRIPTION
The OPTIMA system of fibre glass blow-in insulation is a thermal and acoustical insulation for sidewalls, cathedral ceilings, and other closed-cavity applications. The insulation is an unbonded, white, loose-fill virgin fibre glass designed for pneumatic installation behind non-woven OPTIMA fabric (or equivalent). This product can be used in the Blow-In-Blanket® System (BIBS®).

GREENGUARD® Children & Schools Certified
When installed, OPTIMA will achieve the thermal performances at the thicknesses, densities and coverages specified, based on a nominal 28 lb. bag (see charts on corresponding specification sheets). For proper installation of OPTIMA, see our OPTIMA Installation Guide (30-24-290).

All coverage values are based on net area. Gross coverage will increase when adjusting for wall, floor or ceiling framing members and will vary based on the size and spacing of the framing members.

CertainTeed insulation products improve building energy efficiency and reduce building energy consumption for the life of the structure. As a result, they help conserve nonrenewable energy sources, decrease dependence on foreign oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the recycled content of CertainTeed fiber glass insulation meets the EPA Recovered Material Guideline for fiber glass products, 20-25% consisting of pre-consumer and post-consumer glass cullet.

Most CertainTeed fiber glass insulation products have been certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute and meets the GREENGUARD standards for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions, including formaldehyde.
