Insulate for Warmth

DESCRIPTION
Fiber glass building insulation batts are intended for use in either residential or commercial construction as thermal and acoustical insulation in ceilings, walls and floors. The product is unfaced and composed of yellow, uniformly textured, inorganic glass fibre. Insulation batts are compression packaged for ease of handling and manufactured in a variety of thermal values and widths to permit friction-fit installation in construction assemblies. This insulation is used with a separate vapour barrier, such as CertainTeed’s MemBrain, ™ The Smart Vapour Retarder.

PRODUCT BENEFITS
Installing lightweight and flexible fibre glass building insulation is an easy, cost-effective method to help conserve energy in new construction, remodeling, and reinsulation projects. Fibre glass building insulation provides:
  • Thermal efficiency for greater comfort and lower energy bills
  • Excellent acoustical performance; reduces noise levels
  • Better moisture control; it does not absorb moisture and will not rot or otherwise deteriorate

CertainTeed Insulation is also:
  • GREENGUARD® Children & Schools Certified for superior indoor air quality (IAQ) performance
  • Non-corrosive
  • Non-combustible
  • Won’t settle over time

Check your national and local building code requirements.
CertainTeed recommends that its products be installed according to the recommendations of the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA).
Refer to CertainTeed’s Lifetime Limited Insulation Warranty for Fiber Glass Building Insulation.
CertainTeed insulation products improve building energy efficiency and reduce building energy consumption for the life of the structure. As a result, they help conserve nonrenewable energy sources, decrease dependence on foreign oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the recycled content of CertainTeed fiber glass insulation meets the EPA Recovered Material Guideline for fiber glass products, 20-25% consisting of pre-consumer and post-consumer glass cullet.

Most CertainTeed fiber glass insulation products have been certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute and meet the GREENGUARD standards for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions, including formaldehyde.
