ProRoc® 1" Shaftliner Type  X

ProRoc® Shaftliner Type X is a 1" thick and 2 ft wide gypsum shaftliner and coreboard with a fire resistive core enclosed in a moisture resistant green paper for use in ProRoc® Shaftwall and Area Separation Firewall systems. ProRoc® Shaftliner is available in a variety of lengths.

Surface Burning Characteristics:
ProRoc® Shaftliner Type X has a Flame Spread rating of 25 and Smoke Developed rating of 0, in accordance with ASTM E 84.
Applicable Standards: meets ASTM C 1396
Fire Resistance: Fire resistance tests are conducted in accordance with ASTM E 119 ANSI/UL 263, UBC 7-1, NFPA 251, CAN/ULC- S101) and no warranty is made other than conformance to the standard under which the assembly was tested. Minor discrepancies may exist in the values ratings, attributable to changes in materials and standards, as well as differences between testing facilities.

Recommendations:
Installation of ProRoc® Shaftliner Type X Gypsum Boards should be consistent with methods described in the standards and references noted. Cutting should be from the face side of the boards for best results.

CertainTeed is committed to resource conservation:

• The face and back paper used for our gypsum board consists of 100% recycled paper.
• Synthetic or “by-product” gypsum from the desulphurization of flue gases at coal-fired power plants is used where sources are available. Currently three manufacturing plants—Carrollton, Kentucky, Moundsville, West Virginia and Toronto, Ontario—use 100% synthetic gypsum. The total recycled content for these synthetic gypsum plants is 96%.
• In-plant scrap is recycled back into the process. Our 14 gypsum board manufacturing locations provide regional material coverage throughout North America.
• Although LEED rating systems do not currently address emissions for all building materials and their effects on indoor air quality, finished CertainTeed gypsum board products have no reportable VOCs and will not affect indoor air quality.
