CertainTeed Certa-Lok™ PVC Drop Pipe

Certa-Lok™ Non-Threaded, Corrosion- Resistant PVC Drop Pipe Certa-Lok™ PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Drop Pipe offers an instant, ready-to-use joint utilizing CertainTeed’s unique, field-proven coupling/spline locking design, which allows submersible pumps to be set or pulled quickly and with confidence. Certa-Lok PVC Drop Pipe is designed and manufactured to meet or exceed ASTM Specification D1785 requirements (SCH 80). Available in sizes 2" – 8", Certa-Lok PVC Drop Pipe is perfect for a wide range of deep and shallow-well applications, including:

- Domestic wells
- Irrigation wells
- Municipal wells
- Recharge wells
- Test pumps
- Offshore oil platform water supply systems

Certa-Lok™ PVC Drop Pipe utilizes CertainTeed’s field-proven spline-locking design to form a full strength joint instantly in all weather conditions. It does not require the use of solvents, arc welding or reinforcement screw attachments.

Certa-Lok™ pipe provides a restrained joint by utilizing precision-machined grooves on the pipe and in the coupling/integral bell which, when aligned, allow a spline to be inserted, resulting in a fully circumferential restrained joint that locks the pipes together. A flexible elastomeric seal (O-ring) in the coupling and/or integral bell provides a hydraulic seal.

Note: If needed, the joint can be disassembled and re-used to allow for system changes, extension or removal for re-use. Certa-Lok™ joints can be easily disassembled, allowing for system changes, extension, movement or reuse of the entire system.

Standard pipe color for Water Well applications is WHITE.

LIMITED WARRANTY

CertainTeed warrants to replace, without charge, those of its pipe and fitting products proven to have manufacturing defects within 6 months of the date of delivery thereof; provided, however, that CertainTeed has first been given an opportunity to inspect the product alleged to be defective in order to determine if it meets CertainTeed's specifications and if the handling, installation, and operating conditions have been satisfactory and in accordance with acceptable practices. Products sold by CertainTeed which are manufactured by others are warranted only to the extent and limits of the warranty of the manufacturer. Owing to the widely varying conditions under which CertainTeed's products are installed and used, CertainTeed cannot be and is not bound, and no person is authorized to bind CertainTeed, by any further warranty whatsoever. 

NOTE: Claims must be submitted in writing within thirty (30) days of the date of the circumstances giving rise to the claim.
