What is NRC and why is it important?

NRC is an abbreviation for Noise Reduction Coefficient. It is a very simple way to judge the sound absorption capability of a ceiling panel. The measurement is shown as a single number, between 1.00 and 0.00, rounded off to the nearest 0.05. The higher the NRC, the better the performance.
