An African village is growing on the flat plains just south of the Lake Erie shore. The Kalahari Resort sprang to life in 2004 and three years later is doubling in size. This successful fusion of resort housing, water park and conference center uses an African theme to set itself apart from the surrounding amusement parks and lakeshore recreations. It is a sister facility to the immensely popular Kalahari Resort in The Dells, Wisconsin.
