Commercial Blanket Insulation is used as a thermal or acoustical insulation in commercial buildings where wide rolls of unfaced insulation are required, such as retrofitting a warehouse. Commercial Blanket is a uniformly textured tan blanket made from inorganic glass fibers bonded with thermoset formaldehyde-free resin. A range of R-Vales are available to meet energy code requirements. Commercial Blanket Insulation can be used in roofs and sidewalls as a sounds layer over the unfaced side of Metal Building Insulation. Available up to 10' thick, Commercial Blanket is also used in post frame construction and may be installed over old roof decks (BUR and metal) prior to application of a new standing seam roof.

Product is normally applied over or between the structural members of the building and held in place by the covering sheets or insulation support system. When using high R-value systems, it is recommended that the cavity between the exterior metal sheet and the faced fiber glass insulation should be completely filled with Commercial Blanket Insulation.
CertainTeed insulation products improve building energy efficiency and reduce building energy consumption for the life of the structure. As a result, they help conserve nonrenewable energy sources, decrease dependence on foreign oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the recycled content of CertainTeed fiber glass insulation meets the EPA minimum Recovered Material Guideline for fiber glass products consisting of preconsumer and post-consumer glass cullet. CertainTeed Sustainable Insulation is GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage.
