Environmentally Preferable Products (credit 2.2/Environmentally Preferable Materials—Local): Use products that are extracted, processed and manufactured within 500 miles of home. 0.5
Environmentally Preferable Products (credit 2.2/Recycled Material): Use siding products that contain a minimum of 25% post-consumer recycled content with pre-consumer content counting at half the value of post-consumer. 0.5
LEED-NC CREDITS (Based on LEED-NC Version 3) Possible Points
Materials & Resources
Recycled Content (credit 4): Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% or 20% (based on cost) of the total value of the materials in the project. 1-2
Regional Materials (credit 5): Use building materials or products that have been extracted, harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured, within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% or 20% (based on cost) of the total materials value. 1-2
