Nothern White Fibre Glass Blowing Insulation
Northern White Fibre Glass Blowing Insulation is used in residential and commercial construction as a thermal and acoustical insulation. It is designed for pneumatic installation in open attic or ceiling plenum areas with flat flooring or up to a maximum slope of 4.5:12.
This product is noncombustible, noncorrosive and odor free. In addition, Northern White won't settle, contains no chemicals to cause mildew and fungus growth, provides no sustenance for vermin, contains no asbestos, won't rot or decay and won't absorb moisture. Northern White is made from a combined minimum of 65% pre- and post-consumer recycled content.
Northern White is an unbonded, white, virgin fibre, loose fill fibre glass insulation. The glass fibres are manufactured from postindustrial and post-consumer recycled glass. Additives are applied to provide product extended shelf life and to reduce static electricity and fibre dusting during application. This insulation contains no asbestos, perlite, vermiculite or phenol-formaldehyde binder.

Installation procedures and techniques must be followed as recommended by CertainTeed Corporation, using blowing machines approved for fibre glass insulation. Refer to InsulSafe® SP Installation Manual (30-24-302).
To obtain the thermal resistance shown on the chart, this material must be installed at both the thickness and mass per unit area equal to or greater than the minimum value specified. Maintain building, electrical, gas and oil safety code required clearances between the insulation and heat-emitting devices, such as fuel-burning appliances, chimneys, pipes, ducts and vents to these appliances (at least 50 mm), and between the insulation and recessed light fixtures (at least 75 mm). Recessed light fixtures, unless designed for the purpose, must not be installed in insulated ceilings.
Please refer to the CertainTeed Lifetime Limited Insulation Warranty for Fibre Glass Blowing Insulation.
CertainTeed insulation products improve building energy efficiency and reduce building energy consumption for the life of the structure. As a result, they help conserve nonrenewable energy sources, decrease dependence on foreign oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the recycled content of CertainTeed fiber glass insulation meets the EPA minimum Recovered Material Guideline for fiber glass products consisting of preconsumer and post-consumer glass cullet.
CertainTeed Sustainable Insulation is GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage.
